Portrait commission Instructions
Choosing a photograph *The ideal image should be clear. *Pick only something you already love . *Make sure faces are larger than a quarter. *Photographs for portraits in graphite (pencil) can be color or black n white. * Watercolor portraits in color require photos in color. *Securing a commission requires a phone call to confirm details. *Required-a very good quality photograph mailed or emailed to (packaged with a sheet of cardboard to protect photos integrity). A padded bubble envelope wouldn't hurt. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope and your photo will be returned when the commission is completed. A 50% deposit ($75.00) is expected before work begins depending on project cost estimate. Deposits are non-refundable after the work has begun Subject matter; requires artist approval before work will begin.. Final payment is expected to be sent with your verbal or written approval , after seeing a mailed or emailed proof . The Time to finish a portrait( best work) is estimated to be Two weeks . Portraits in graphite start at - $150.00 / 8" x 10" or 11" x 14 " Portraits in watercolor begin at - $200.00 I use highest quality acid free paper . Prices do not include mats or framing Added details, cost additional, this includes adding a body, another face, animal or setting indoors or outside . $ 50.00 each addition . More details more work, more time . ***Animal portraits cost differently because there is usually a great deal more time involved in their production .
